Sommelier Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana partner with winemaker Rosanna Petroziello of I Favati Wines for a multi-course pairing dinner
Prominent Northern Italian restaurant, Officine BRERA, is proud to host a wine dinner with I Favati Wines, on January 24, 2017. Chef Angelo Auriana honors the restaurant’s commitment to authentic culinary offerings from the Po Valley, and presents a five-course menu paired with Italian vino created in the southern city of Cesinali. Carefully selected wine pairings from I Favati winemaker Rosanna Petrozziello and managing director Giancarlo Favati will accompany each dish, to immerse guests in the genuine, heritage flavors of the Italian countryside. Guests will discover white and red wine options produced in the Campania region east of Naples, known for high quality wines.
Winemaker Rosanna Petrozziello will be onsite to guide guests through the assortment of Italian wine options and share I Favati’s winemaking methodology
The I Favati winery represents the culmination of a tradition dating back to the early 1900s, when the family’s ancestors began making wine in the traditional way for their own table and for a few close friends. The passion and artisanal traditions of those ancestors continues to thrive today. The I Favati winery is located today in Cesinali, a town and surrounding hilly area in the heart of Irpinia (east of Naples, in the region of Campania). Irpinia’s unique, indigenous grape varieties make up all of I Favati’s vineyards, which benefit from a perfect exposure to the sun. Each year, the harvest is carefully supervised by brothers Piersabino and Giancarlo Favati, founders of the winery, and by Rosanna Petrozziello, winemaker and Giancarlo’s wife.
